Chipped bark

Drones Stones supply 8-20mm mini size bark chips for domestic and commercial customers across Northern Ireland from our depot in Ballymoney. Our chipped bark can provide you with a highly decorative finish on small garden areas such as island beds, planters, pots and containers. A mulch of mini chipped bark suppresses garden weeds, helps retain soil moisture and protects plant roots from extreme temperatures both hot and cold. For best results apply a generous layer of 5-10 cm (2-4 inches).

Composted bark and mini chipped bark

We supply both composted bark and mini chipped bark.

Our composted bark is 0-8mm in size and is ideal for mulching beds, borders, pots and containers. It can provide you with an attractive finish to your garden, as well as suppressing weeds and conserving water. For best results apply a generous layer of 5cm (2 inches).

Mini chipped bark has a coarser texture than most mulch and gradually decomposes over time. Following the decomposition, the bark is absorbed into the soil, which improves the overall structure of the soil.
